Teaching jobs in Dubai: The teaching job in Dubai has caught up in image matters in recent years. But what should primary school teachers in particular bring to their field of work today? And what do parents really appreciate about good teachers? Tell us your expectations as parents (after the article, in the comment).

A few years ago there was a great shortage of teachers in several regions of UAE, Dubai, especially at primary, and sometimes also at the secondary level. Fortunately, the times are gone in most places, even if some cantons continue to offer programs with easier job access – and shorter training – for career changers. And although there are still occasional problems with filling one or the other position. This is also due to the rising birth rate and the number of newly enrolled children. A trend that will continue to grow in the future.
It is all the more important that the number of registrations at the universities of teacher education increases significantly (on average by around 40 percent). And most of those responsible estimate that four-fifths of the increases also occur in the normal training program and that only a minority consists of career changers.
But why is it that the profession of primary school teacher – because teacher growth rates are nowhere as high as at primary school level – shows such an upswing? Experts call the trump cards of the job description the mixture of a job that is considered useful , a high degree of independence in achieving the learning goals, as well as flat hierarchies , despite tight curriculum specifications.

The focus is rather on the general balancing act in dealing with the children or, later, with the adolescents: it takes a lot of empathy, but on the other hand also the unmistakable setting of limits.
